I am an Associate Professor of Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). I currently serve as Biomedical Sciences Program Coordinator, where I manage faculty and over 400 undergraduates of the nearly 1100 students within Life Sciences. My research projects have involved the training of 96 undergraduate students and co-chairing 13 completed Masters’ students. Current research focuses on gene regulation in the salt-water bacterium Vibrio vulnificus (known as the ”flesh-eating bacteria”), and antimicrobial resistance in that organism.
