My academic path began with a B.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Primorska, Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, followed by an M.Sc. in Data Science, which I pursued across several European institutions through ERASMUS+ programs. These experiences shaped my interdisciplinary outlook and commitment to real-world impact.
My current research explores how NLP can enhance transparency, equity, and security in high-stakes domains. I work on privacy-aware question-answering systems, dialect bias mitigation in language models, and text-to-SQL security. My work has been presented at NAACL, IEEE S&P, and other leading venues, and I actively contribute to the research community as a reviewer for ACL Rolling Review and IEEE TDSC.
Beyond research, I teach Python programming and mentor students on applied AI projects. Outside of academia, I enjoy reading literary nonfiction and hiking, both of which help me reflect and recharge.
