I have completed my PhD in Health Services Research from the University of North Texas. My primary research interests include impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on health screening behaviors, applying trauma-informed approaches in primary care, and strengthening organizational structures to implement trauma-informed care. I am also interested in the application of geographic information system (GIS) on health, the role of location in the distribution of disease, chronic diseases among seniors, osteoporosis health among seniors, minority health and any interventions that benefit elderly people to maintain their health. You can call me Dr. GB or Dr. Baniya and use he/him/his pronouns. I am also a Certified Health Education Specialist and have both my masters and undergraduate degrees in public health. I have also worked as an Adult Protective and Community Worker for Missouri Department of Health and Human Services from 2016-2017. Personally, I am a native of Nepal, but have lived in different States in the US. I love to travel, play badminton & soccer and do photography.
