My Ph.D. is in experimental particle physics, where I characterized the Higgs boson with the CMS experiment. A high priority in particle physics is to characterize the systematic uncertainties of the experiment and determine how each one affects the result. I am now working in multiplex immunofluorescence using the AstroPath platform and bringing this statistical methodology from particle physics. This will allow us to make our studies more reproducible and – the ultimate goal – bring them to the clinic and improve patient outcomes.
