RNA splicing, alternative isoform regulation, post-transcriptional control, and therapeutic and biotechnological applications

I am a PhD student in Biology at Colorado State University, conducting research in RNA splicing and its role in regulating gene expression and cellular function. My work focuses on how RNA-level changes influence development and how these mechanisms can be leveraged in biotechnology and cancer-related therapeutic strategies.
My training integrates molecular biology with computational analysis, with a strong emphasis on RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) data. I have developed skills in bioinformatics, programming, and data analysis, applying these approaches to support hypothesis-driven research and generate meaningful biological insights.

In addition to research, I serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for undergraduate Cell Biology courses, where I support student learning, facilitate laboratory activities, and contribute to a structured and engaging learning environment. I am actively involved in mentoring through programs such as the MURALS and the Graduate Peer Mentoring Program at CSU, where I support undergraduate and graduate students in developing research skills and academic confidence. I am committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and helping students build strong foundations in scientific thinking and problem-solving.
