Sreenath Panchagnula is currently a Clinical Psychology PhD candidate at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. Previously, he was awarded a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Washington State University. Sreenath’s research focus is on minority aging and mental health along with cultural disparities in access to neuropsychology services. He also recently started researching how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and systems will affect the field of neuropsychological assessment. Clinically, Sreenath’s focus areas include clinical rehabilitation neuropsychology across the lifespan, health psychology, and geropsychology. He also enjoys working with individuals who have serious mental illnesses in community and institutionalized settings. Sreenath also enjoys mentoring and teaching students in and out of academia. Sreenath plans to become a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and work at an academic medical center where he can engage in clinical care, collaborate on research, and teach and supervise students and trainees simultaneously. The DAIR3 program has allowed Sreenath to learn about ways in which he can implement the latest AI tools in the field of clinical psychology to ensure the field stays current while ensuring that clinicians and clients feel connected to the therapeutic process and not sidelined by the AI process and tools emerging in the field of clinical psychology.
